November 13, 2025: This week in math I learned about elapsed time. A method I like to use for elapsed time is the Z method to do this you put the start time at the top of the Z then find the next hour add the elapsed time and you've got your end time. In language arts we started reading our new book called Mary Jones and her bible. The book takes place in Wales and is about a girl learning to read the Bible.  In science we learned about simple machines. Six simple machines are the   wedge, leaver, plane, screw, pulley , and the wheel and axle.

November 6, 2025: This week in math we learned about ratios.  We also learned about using the distributive property.  In language arts we learned about the difference between effect and affect.  In history we learned about Alexander the Great and William the conqueror. Alexander the great was an amazing king while William the conqueror was an awfully king.

October 30,  2025:  This week in math we did some more fractions. We learned how to convert mixed numbers into fractions and how to use LCM to find common denominators. In language arts we learned about grenud phrases. We also learned about Benjamin west. In science we learned about speed. Galileo was the person to find the speed of light.

October 23, 2025: In math we had another test which was longer than the last one but it seemed easier.  We also learned about adding, subtracting, and multiplying fractions. We got new science books this week and we learned about Issac Newton.  Issac was the Pearson to discover gravity when he noticed how an apple fell to the ground instead of staying in place.  In Language arts we wrote an essay on little things in life that can make a difference.  This is my essay.

Have you ever wanted to change your life? Well, simple things like family, prayer, and gratitude can do just that! Just take a few minutes each day to focus on the little things and you can really change your life.

First let’s talk about prayer. Prayer is something so simple yet it is also so important. Prayer can be good for you and for others because it's our main way of talking to the Lord. When you're  told to pray it may just seem like something you have to do, but it is way more important than that. It can truly change your life if you just take a few minutes to practice it each day! If you can, try to make some time to pray with family.

Speaking of family, that is my next simple but important thing that helps me in my life.Family is something that everyone has. It is your brothers, your sisters, your mom and dad, it can even be anyone you love. You may think, how can family make a difference in my life? Well, there are many ways they can help. Your mom and dad are the main people who make you who you are. Your brothers and sisters, even if they can be mean to you sometimes, they are always there for you when you need them.

Finally, we’ll talk about gratitude. Gratitude is something many people struggle with but if you can show some gratitude at least once a day you can really be a great person. Gratitude can be something as simple as saying thanks or helping someone with a school project. Even though these thighs seem like they are so simple they can make a big difference in your life. You could change the whole world if every day you just showed a little gratitude, that’s how powerful it is.

So now we can see that even the small things in life can make a huge difference. Gratitude, family, and prayer are only a few things, there are so many other small things that can make a difference in your life. Just remember small things matter in life as well.
